The short version

Our tools process your files entirely inside your web browser. We never receive, upload, store or see the files you open with our tools. There is no account system, so we hold no usernames, passwords or profiles about you.

1. Files you process with our tools

When you use the Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG, Image Resizer, Image Compressor or Image Converter tools, your files are read by JavaScript running locally on your device and the results are generated locally. No file data is transmitted to our servers or to any third party at any point. Closing the browser tab discards everything from memory.

2. Information we do collect

Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics may automatically record limited technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited and the time of your visit. This is standard web-server logging used for security and to understand aggregate usage. It is not linked to your files, which we never see.

3. Cookies

MergeCompress itself sets no tracking cookies and runs no fingerprinting scripts. Third-party services on the site — such as advertising partners (see Section 4) and the content delivery networks that serve JavaScript libraries — may set their own cookies subject to their own policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools will continue to work.

4. Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

5. Third-party libraries

Our tools load open-source JavaScript libraries (such as pdf-lib, jsPDF and pdf.js) from public content delivery networks. These CDNs may log standard request data as described in Section 2. The libraries themselves perform no tracking.

6. Children's privacy

MergeCompress does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the tools require no personal information from anyone.

7. Data security and retention

Because we do not collect your files or personal data through the tools, there is nothing to retain or breach on that front. Server logs described in Section 2 are retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at tashx2195@gmail.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
